Footnote: Australia Post produced a stamp commemorating the A380 (see cover) and a souvenir cover for the first Qantas commercial flight. These covers were flown on the aircraft to Los Angeles. Note the special Airmail label at bottom left, which reads " This mail traveled on the first commercial Qantas A380 flight". The covers were only available on special order some months in advance of the flight and required a personal address. I have deleted my address on this scan for privacy reasons. The actual covers is unmarked.

Footnote: Australia Post also produced a FDC for the Aviation theme in early August 2008 showing a set of stamps. one of which was the A380, and a cover with just the A380 stamp and a lapel type pin which had a magnetic backing so there is no pin hole damage to the cover.
