Footnote: I carried the covers on the Sydney - Singapore sector. I was unable to get a seat on the Singapore - London sector but the passenger sitting next to me on the Sydney Singapore sector kindly carried the covers onto London for me on the A380. I traveled up to London on the QF 9 which arrived, as it turned out due a delay to the A380 Singapore departure, at the same time as the QF 31, and we met in the immigration hall and I had my covers returned to me by her two sons as it happened.  picture available click here.   Covers with signatures right across the front were not franked by Royal Mail in London - Royal Mail would only frank if there was room to put a stamp on the front of the cover without covering or touching a signature.
